The ridges that sandwich this route will have you in a land-before-time frame of mind, while the road names harken back to a time when people used the word “harken”. Most of the climbing happens early in the route, but don’t let yourself drift off after kilometre 24. There are still a few ups and downs to be had, but we promise they’re worth it.

On Hogsback Road, you’re overlooking a lake on one side and a gully on the other. It’s a push, and the water looks so inviting. At the end of your ride, keep rolling down Neville Point Road to the day-use area and take your pick between the two fingers of Beaver Lake for a cool-off.
